New ApprenticeWed, 12 Oct 2022We are delighted to announce Mary Rowe as the newest Guild of Mercers Scholars apprentice. Mary left Thomas Telford in July 2022 and is now at the University of Sheffield studying Chemical Engineering. Mary will be mentored throughout her time at university by Guildman and former TTS student Lydia Kendrick who graduated from Bath University with a first-class honours degree in Chemical Engineering. The Guild of Mercers Scholars apprenticeship scheme follows a historic process, which started with a ceremony at the Guildhall in the City of London and finishes in four years’ time, when the mentoring scheme comes to an end. Mary will have the opportunity to tap into her mentor’s expertise, advice and network of contacts within the Guild and attend social events such as the annual Installation Dinner and the Lord Mayor’s Show. We wish Mary all the best with her apprenticeship and our thanks go to Lydia who will no doubt provide outstanding guidance and support. Images
